AccelWell Travel Pouch

GlycoMark Blood Test

The clinic-based Glyco-Mark diabetes blood test measures postprandial glycemic control by gauging levels of monosaccharide 1,5 anhydroglucitol (1,5 AG), a sugar similar to glucose. The test results indicate post-meal glucose levels over the previous 1–2 weeks. The results are intended to be more specific than but complementary to information provided by the traditional glycated hemoglobin (A1C) test, according to the company. Pelikan Sun Lancing Device

This self-contained lancing system seeks to reduce the pain associated with lancing to obtain blood samples for glucose testing. The button-operated device uses electronically controlled lancing for minimal penetration. Lantus SoloStar Insulin Pen

SoloStar comes prefilled with Lantus, a 24-hour insulin analog approved for once-daily prevention of hyperglycemia in patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. The disposable pen allows for doses of from 1 to 80 units of insulin per injection, a 25% increase in maximum capacity compared with other insulin pens, according to manufacturer Sanofi-Aventis.
