I-Port Injection Port

The I-Port Injection Port is designed to reduce the stress and discomfort of injecting insulin and other medications by allowing subcutaneous delivery without repeatedly puncturing the skin. When injecting, the needle of a syringe or insulin pen remains above the skin surface, while the medication is delivered to the tissue below through a soft, flexible cannula available in multiple lengths. The device is disposable and small at 1/3 in tall and 1/2 in wide. The I-Port requires only one skin puncture every 72 hours. DexCom Seven Continuous Glucose Monitoring System

The new Seven provides real-time glucose readings and examines trends in glucose levels for up to 7 days with no decline in accuracy. The Seven system has three parts: the sensor, a transmitter pod, and the receiver. The sensor is flexible and features a small, 26-gauge needle for comfortable insertion and a waterproof transmitter pod, which attaches to the skin. The pod uses new microprocessing software to relay information to the receiver, which features push-button operation and can store up to 30 days of data.
